BEST TRILOGY EVER!! James Maxwell has done it again. AMAZING!! You will ADORE this trilogy, a fantasy, adventure story with a little bit of love! The characters are SO likeable and the writing is beautiful. I loved the first two books, and this one did not dissapoint! The ending was amazing, and I'm devastated that the trilogy is over, yet I will definitely be reading it again! Follow the characters through a mystical land as they search for the truth, watch them run through peril and destruction yet save the day (and world) in the end. After all that they've been through, the very loveable characters do what most people can't: don't give up. I loved how through it all, they still found love and even the coldest of characters warmed at some point. AN APSOLUTE MUST READ!!! Thank you so much James Maxwell for giving us this sensational trilogy.

This was the best trilogy I have read in a very long time. The first book I read in a couple of days but the second and third I read each in one sitting. Great story! Just when you think you have the plot figured out, something major changes. It’s fast paced and interesting and keeps you on your toes. I’m not sure how many times I thought I knew how it would end only to be surprised again. Really good read. I highly recommend the entire series.

What a great concept. This book takes the question of life “out there” and turns it around to ask if Earth is real? Many stories follow a predictable pattern and you read guessing what may happen. At the beginning of book 1 did not have a clue about the twists and turns I was soon to enjoy. Thank you for an original story.

This whole saga is fascinating. I had a difficult time putting the books aside to accomplish work. I would like to see this made into a movie. I will definitely search out more books by this author. If you liked the movie "The Book of Eli," you will love these books. The story begins with the struggle to survive in a wasteland where water is scarce and danger exists from wild beasts, other races, and even other humans.

Taimen, a warrior but also peaceful, realizes from his talks with captured Ingren, the advisor from a bonded pair, that there will be no peace with the warriors of the bonded. He leaves his beloved Selena behind to return Ingren to the main city of the bonded in order to speak to the assembly in an attempt at peace. Along the way, Taimen learns the rudiments of the bonded language, and more about their society. Once in the main city, he is allowed to learn the history of this race of warrior and advisor giants ... and a sliver of hope of how to save all the peoples of the wasteland.

James Maxwell, you should be a member of NATO. Your path to freedom and peace for the characters in book, 'A Search for Starlight, The Firewall Trilogy, would be relevant for the issues we face today. Although this is a work of fantasy, you hit all of humanities social issues. This is a very thought provoking piece of work. I enjoyed the story line and built a relation with the main characters, Taimin and Serena. They teach that you can't judge someone on appearance, everyone has strengths that can be assets to society. I recommend this book because it's engaging and multi dimensional(no pun intended).

The third in the Firewall Trilogy is very different to books 1 and 2. It explains the context of the first two, and is a very satisfying adventure in its own right. From the basic struggle for survival in book 1, through the realisation in book 2 that there is another culture beyond their knowledge, to the explanation and conclusion in book 3. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the trilogy developed to its conclusion. Thoroughly recommended.

James has a way of telling a unique and new story that delivers so many twists and still manages to have an ending that warms the heart. His clean, fresh writing is wonderful to read. The plot points well laid out and no real edits. All this makes for a professional story teller. Applause to you Mr. Maxwell.

It took me a while to get used to the characters, but I was soon enthralled by Mr. Maxwell portrayal of life in another planet. There is something here for everyine: romance, suspense, alien life forms, bloody battles and even a bit of "magic". This is a must read!

Great story. From the beginning I could hardly put it down. I finished it in about three days. To imagine meeting a superior race vastly different from our own - technology infinitely better than our primitive attempts and still strive to survive regardless of the odds. Wonderful story.
